Bridal Shower Games

Bridal shower games
add a little levity and fun to a
bridal shower.  Everyone
expects to play silly games
when they go to a shower.
A bridal shower without
bridal shower games just isn’t
a real bridal shower!  These
are some of the silliest:

  • Guess How Many? – Fill up a
bottle or glass jar with M &
    M’s.  Make sure you count
    the number of M & M’s
    you’re putting in the jar.
    Then have your guests guess
    how many M & M’s there
are.  The one who gets the
    closest to the correct number
    wins the jar of M & M’s.
  • Clothes Pin – When guests arrive at the shower, everyone gets a clothespin and must put it on their clothing somewhere.  They are then instructed not to mention the groom’s name at any time during the day.  If someone overhears someone else mentioning the groom’s name, the person who said the groom’s name has to give up her clothespin to the one who “caught” her saying his name.  The person at the end of the day with the most clothespins wins a prize.
  • Name Scramble – Each guest is given a piece of paper with the bride-to-be’s future married name written across the top.

]Give everybody about ten minutes to make as many words as they can out of the name.  The person who makes the most words wins a prize.

  • Bridal Shower Bingo – Make up some blank Bingo cards and give each guest one.  Each guest fills in the spaces with the names of gifts that she thinks the bride will get.  As the gifts are opened, the guests mark off their card if they have listed a gift correctly.  When the card is full they win a prize.  You could also give prizes for a bingo across, down or diagonally.
  • Empty Your Purse – Have a list made up ahead of time with about 20 items normally found in a purse – a quarter, lipstick, matches, napkin, address book, pen, etc.  But for laughs, be sure that the word “condom” is on the list too.  The person who has the most items in her purse wins.

Bridal shower games can be great icebreakers if your guests do not all know each other.  Even if they do, corny bridal shower games are part of bridal shower tradition.
